After Spring Cleaning, there is always the urge to redecorate and replace everything you’ve pillaged with something new. However, this can be a huge stress to the budget. Here at MERS Goodwill, we don’t believe it has to be. Every day we get new house ware items that people donate that are just as good as the items you’ll find in stores, except you won’t pay a premium here.
These country kitchen bar stools are just one example of the many great finds from our MERS Goodwill stores–each of these stools is only $8! The great thing about stools like these is that they are incredibly versatile. You can use them in a kitchen as is and brighten up a room, or, you can paint the legs to match your basement bar.
If you were to buy similar bar stools at Target , they would be $70 (for two)!
Another great MERS Goodwill find, are these Lenox Dining Plates. Each plate was only $3 a piece, and there was a whole set of six. Plates like these are a household essential; they are durable enough for everyday dining, but also decorative enough for hosting and special occasions.
At Macy’s, Lenox plates like these are sold for $29 each! And, we liked ours better.
Last, but certainly not least, one of our favorite recent finds is this decorative terra cotta planting pot. A truly unique, and beautiful find for only $15! What a wonderful addition to any patio, deck or garden. Just fill with soil and plant your favorite flower, and you will have a gorgeous outdoor accent for summer.
A similar clay pot would cost $80 at Sam’s Club! And it looks pretty generic.
