
Mission
The mission of the Goodwill GoodGuides youth mentoring program is to empower youth to make positive choices that enable them to maximize their current and future potential.
Vision
The GoodGuides youth mentoring program envisions a nation in which youth experience nurturing, positive choices that enable them to develop to their full potentials with the capacity of making informed decisions as involved members of the community.
• Hours of Operation: 8:30am-4:30pm MTWF/8:30am-7:30pm TH
• Mentor Trainings are offered every Thursday from 5:30pm-7:30pm
• Note: If a mentor is unable to make one of the scheduled training sessions other arrangements can be made.
• Open House at ICA (Innovative Concept Academy) Thursday 9/16 5:00pm-7:30pm
• The G.R.E.A.T. (Gang Resistance Education and Training) There are four components: Core/Middle School Curriculum, Elementary School Curriculum, Summer component, and Families component. Pictured below is the graduation of the Summer Program on 7/22/10.
• On July 17, 2010 we conducted our first mentor/mentee matching party. It was a festive environment filled with fun and excitement. Many of the children in attendance took full advantage of the bounce house and other available activities. Not to mention the shaved ice line never seemed to dissipate until the conclusion of the event. The shaved ice came in handy, as it was an extremely hot afternoon. Pictures may be found below.
